Howdy! I’m Matt, a software engineer with over a decade of experience. Mostly in the back end, I currently write code for race cars and I have a long history in mobile gaming.

I’ve recently started getting into webdev a bit more and am attempting to straddle a couple side projects in my very rare free time. I got drawn into Laravel because of its vibrant ecosystem and wonderful community. In 2025 I hope to attempt to make some bids on a contract under the company D6Software, hence the site name, its a domain I’ve owned since college and its about time I put it to good use.

The first of my two side projects I’m working on is a car maintence platform. It will allow folks to manage the expenses of their cars, track gas milage, and hopefully alert them when they’re due for things like oil changes or regular maintence intervals.

The second project, that I admittedly have not written code for, is going to be open source and is a fork of Harambee. Or at least that’s the current plan once I get time to sit down and evaluate it. The project is going to be a fundraising platform for people that want to adopt children, but slightly more “gamified” (Think kickstarter reward tiers, the folks donating should get a cool shirt saying “I helped adopt X’s kid!” trying to make it fun.)

I like playing video games, board games, card games, I enjoy cars, and I also run the community discord for Everyday Driver. Oh, and homelab, I like pretending to be a devops engineer when I get home I guess.

Oh, and if you’re one of the like 10,000 people on the planet that played Hex: Shards of Fate I owned and ran Battleshopper.com
